Man, woman fight for lives after stabbing

Two people are fighting for their lives after a stabbing in Geraldton last night.

Police were called to an incident in Fuller Street, Bluff Point at about 11.30pm.

A 36-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man who live at the address were found with serious injuries as a result of stab wounds.

A St John Ambulance was called and both victims were taken to hospital.

They were flown to Royal Perth Hospital by the Royal Flying Doctor Service early this morning and are both in a critical condition.

A police spokesman said a 38-year-old Drummond Cove man was assisting police with their inquiries.

Forensic officers are attending the scene this morning.

In a separate incident, a young man was stabbed outside a kebab shop on South Terrace in the heart Fremantle's cappuccino strip overnight.

He was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital for surgery and is currently in a serious but stable condition.
