When Spirit 98.1fm Breakfast announcer Dave Nicholson interviewed Famous Sharron about her upcoming show at Funtavia, he never expected to be roped in.

Perthonality Famous Sharron – who is famous for nothing at all – will visit Geraldton on February 8 to help residents find their one true love in her dating show, Love Match.

Having featured stars from Married at First Sight and The Bachelor in her Perth and Sydney shows, Famous Sharron has been on the hunt for Geraldton celebrities to appear in the Funtavia show.

While chatting to Nicholson on Spirit 98.1, Famous Sharron suggested he’d be the perfect pick.

“Actually Davey-doll, I’m looking for celebrity guests and I heard a rumour that you could be a local celebrity I may be able to have on the show,” she said.

Famous Sharron may be famous for nothing at all, but she'll put her relationship expertise to good use on February 8 during her Funtavia show, Love Match.

Although Nicholson denied his celebrity status, Shaz insisted everyone is “a little bit famous” and promptly added him to the guest list.

“I didn’t have much chance to say no,” Nicholson told The Geraldton Guardian.

“It’s kind of weird because I usually spend my time in the studio so people hear me, but no one sees me.

“It’ll be interesting … and I’m open to any possibilities.

“So if you ever want to see an old radio dude up (on stage) absolutely petrified, (Funtavia) is the place to do it; you can watch the horror from the front row.”

Having been married three times, Famous Sharron considers herself a “relationship expert” and vowed to find the perfect match for all participants.

“If anyone is looking for love … just come and I will probably find someone for you to love by the end of the show,” she said on Spirit 98.1.

“I guarantee it.”

Famous Sharron’s Love Match will take over Funtavia, Geraldton’s own Fringe World Festival Hub, on February 8.

Funtavia, located off Marine Terrace behind Yamaji Art Centre and headspace Geraldton, runs from February 7-9.
