A 45-year-old man who stole a prescription pad and forged a doctor’s signature has appeared in a WA court.

Jamie Edward Ridley pleaded guilty in Geraldton Magistrate’s Court last week to stealing, altering a forged record to defraud and possession of cannabis.

On October 12 this year, Ridley stole the prescription pad and forged a doctor’s signature on a script for the painkiller oxycodone.

Ridley told the court it was for his own use and not to sell.

The case was adjourned to January 15 to allow the court to prepare a pre-sentence report.
