Paul Christmass brings home open singles tournament win at Geraldton Croquet Club
Paul Christmass dropped just one game as he went on to win the Open Singles Tournament at the Geraldton Croquet Club over the weekend.
The tournament saw 14 players go head to head across April 27 and 28, with club members from Belmont and Gosnells also competing.
Each player competed in 13 games which were 50 minutes each across the two days, with early starts required for the large pool of matches.
At the end of play, Christmass had claimed the tournament win with ease, taking 12 wins and just one loss to Jan MacSween with a net hoops of 54.
In second place was Geraldton’s Sharkey Ryan with 11 wins and a net hoops of 32. Belmont’s Janet Fuller rounded out the podium with nine wins at a net hoops of 21.
