Neil Foster knows his grandmother is mad about horses, so he decided to give her a special treat for her 80th birthday — a ticket to Geraldton Turf Club’s Melbourne Cup event.
Margarette Logan said it had been years since she rode show horses or visited a race track, so she loved her grandson’s gift.
The pair were just two of a well-dressed crowd that congregated at the track on Tuesday to celebrate the race that stops the nation.
