Traditional Aboriginal club seized

Geraldton Guardian

Here’s an unusual weapon seizure – a nulla nulla, or traditional Aboriginal club.

Police from Mingenew and Geraldton seized the object, along with a small quantity of drugs, as part of a vehicle stop.

A 40-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman, both from Carnarvon, have been charged with possession of a weapon and possession of a prohibited drug.

Police posted a photo of the seizure on Twitter on Tuesday.

According to the website indigenousaustralia.info, the nulla nulla is a weapon used for hunting, fighting and as a ceremonial tool.
