Powerball #1560: One lucky West Aussie wins division 2 prize as Powerball rolls over to $40 million

The Powerball has evaded any division one winners on Thursday evening, but West Aussies will be scrambling to check their tickets as one lucky winner has walked away with a hefty division two prize.

Out of the three national division two winners, one WA player pocketed a sizable $209,625.35 after the Thursday draw.

It wasn’t a bad day for division three either, with 10 Sandgropers out of a total 60 winning $12,963.65 each.

The winning numbers from Powerball draw #1560 were 26, 15, 32, 3, 17, 33, and 27.

The Powerball was 20.

The unsuccessful draw comes after a brilliant win from an Australind retiree, who took home a whopping $1 million thanks to the Millionaire Medley.

The retiree, who purchased a $2 Slikpik 3, was confused when he went to check his ticket at NewsXpress Treendale, and was then guided into a back room by staff who informed him of his brilliant win.

“I wasn’t sure what to think when they first asked me to come around the back, but I definitely didn’t think it was to tell me I was a millionaire,” he said.

“I was in complete shock, the girls in the store are so lovely, and there were lots of cuddles and kisses to celebrate.”

The winner now plans to use his million to travel Australia via train, after celebrating with a family lunch.
