Police team cracks down on high-harm offenders with arrests, raids and investigations across Geraldton

The Geraldton rapid high harm offender response team continues to crack down on some of the region’s most serious and disruptive criminal activity. Established in late May, the team was created to target repeat offenders and criminal behaviour that causes the most harm to the community. In its first month, RHHOR resulted in more than 70 arrests, with an additional 20 arrests made at the end of June. Recent operations have highlighted the breadth of serious offences being tackled. A 44-year-old man from Dudley Park was separately charged with with knowingly using counterfeit money and possessing a trafficable quantity of methamphetamine for supply. The victim then observed two men near the fence line, and was threatened during the encounter. Police believe the offenders may have removed or altered the vehicle’s registration plates to avoid detection. Meanwhile, a 48-year-old woman was charged over a string of offences committed across several Geraldton businesses. She is accused of racially harassing members of the public, burglary and stealing, robbery, assaulting a retail worker, and assaulting a public officer. The RHHOR team also tackled numerous breach of bail cases, barring notice violations, and outstanding arrest warrants, while cracking down on reckless driving offences and police evasions. Working closely with local detectives and inquiry teams, they’ve executed multiple residential search warrants, resulting in further drug-related charges and the seizure of illegal items.
