Students at Champion Bay Senior High School were given the opportunity to meet with a variety of potential employers as the school hosted a careers expo last Tuesday to celebrate National Careers Week.

More than 25 employers and local businesses attended the expo, including Mid West Ports, Rio Tinto, the Australian Defence Force and the Western Australian Centre for Rural Health.

All students in Years 9 - 12 had the opportunity to visit the exhibitors and gain valuable career information and insight.

Debra Kempton, VET co-ordinator at Champion Bay SHS, thanked all of the local businesses who attended and Radio MAMA who held a special afternoon broadcast at the event.

“We look forward to a bigger and better expo in 2023,” she said.

The week also featured a dream job dress up day on Wednesday, complete with a lunchtime fashion parade for students.
