Police arrest 25yo woman after allegedly stealing triple road train, crashing into front gate of home

Kalgoorlie police were forced to take evasive action when an allegedly stolen triple road train crossed on to the wrong side of the road and sped towards them, before allegedly crashing through the front fence of a home. A 25-year-old woman has been arrested on 10 charges, with Kalgoorlie detectives alleging she stole a 43-tonne Kenworth truck with three trailers attached from a transportation company on Shannon Street about 6.15pm on Saturday. Police further allege the truck was driven along Shannon Street and crossed on to the incorrect side of the road before being driven at speed towards a police vehicle, forcing them to take evasive action. They say the truck continued to travel recklessly throughout the area before deliberately driving through the front gate of a residence on Chaffer Street in Boulder. The woman’s charges include two counts of unlawful act or omission with intent to harm, trespassing, stealing a motor vehicle, reckless driving, and unlawful damage. She is next due to appear in Kalgoorlie Magistrates Court on June 23.
