Perth weather: Cloudy start before sunshine and a ‘blazing’ weekend ahead

Perth woke to a blanket of morning cloud on Thursday, but blue skies are set to break through soon, kicking off a warm and sunny stretch that could see temperatures hit 30C by the end of the weekend.
Thursday’s top will reach around 23C, before climbing to 25C on Friday and 28C on Saturday, with the Bureau of Meteorology forecasting a proper burst of heat from Sunday, when the mercury is tipped to crack 30C.
Bureau of Meteorology spokesperson Joey Rawson told PerthNow the rain has finally faded and it’s smooth sailing from here.
“We’re in for a cloudy day today and tomorrow morning but then nothing but blazing blue skies for the next seven days,” Rawson said on Thursday.
It marks a welcome change after the recent run of cloudy, cooler days, with no rain expected across Perth or the metro area for at least a week.
