Perth weather: Storm looms over CBD giving lightning show across Perth

Perth was hit with a rare weather event on Tuesday as lightning was seen dramatically across Perth skies.

Photographs supplied by PerthNow readers showed stormy-looking clouds and lightning bolts across the city.

The Bureau of Meteorology didn’t share any weather warnings for Western Australia on Wednesday and forecast that there would be a shower or two and possible storm with an estimated 0-6mm of rain.

The apocalyptic-looking storm came after a day of spring sunshine across the city, with temperatures reaching highs of 27 degrees.

BOM forecast that Wednesday morning will be “mostly sunny” with a low chance of rain.
