Fremantle got off to a false start last year against Geelong. Can they find some redemption and lay down an early marker to show they are serious contenders this year?

He gives away 50 and Miers goes early to find an uncontested Jack Martin who snaps and puts Geelong in front for the first time today!

The Dockers win the inital contest but there’s no one on the outer ring as he takes a step and snaps to bring the margin back to three points.

Connor O’Sullivan has three intercept marks already this term as the Dockers lack the dare that gave them their hot start.
Max Holmes has a shot on the run this time but it’s rushed over.

Erasmus’ dump kick out of defence finds Max Holmes who sets up from outside 50.

Fremantle wasted some opportunities in that quarter and were set for a grandstand finish after the Dockrs looked like they were going to blow Geelong away.
Neale and Cameron have been dangerous for the Cats with seven goals between them.
Luke Jackson has been enormous for the Docker but Sean Darcy has been well below his best.
Geelong’s midfield managed to have periods of dominace in that quarter but to Freo’s credit they have been able to find the ansewrs so far.

Dangerfield is on the board
Just his third touch for the day but the ball just floats to him as he takes the contested mark.
He makes no mistake to get it back to eight points with two minutes to go in the third.
