AFL: There will be no ‘home’ comforts for North Melbourne as Fremantle look to continue their imperious form as they chase a record extending 12th straight win.

The Roos host the Dockers in Bunbury in what will be one of the shortest away trips the Dockers will ever have to make, with a packed house expected at Hands Oval.

On paper, this should be a straightforward job for ladder-leading Fremantle, but on the back of their stunning run down of Gold Coast, North Melbourne’s threat should not be discounted.

Final quarter underway

Pat Voss after misses several set shots is hemmed in on the boundary and of course slots it through with a nice finish to get his second.

The Dockers’ biggest ever win over North is 82 points.

Voss gets a third just moments later after Shai Bolton hits him up I’ll be stunned if the Dockers don’t win by 100 plus.

End of Q3 FRE 17.5 (107) NM 4.4 (30)

If the pressure was any lower from North Melbourne you’d have to check their pulse as the Dockers just continue to rack up the score.

Fremantle have been excellent witha disposal efficiency of more than 80 per cent and they’ve just been far too clinical all day.

A record breaking win is on the cards though Fremantle may give their stars plenty of rest in this final term given the margin.

Frederick makes it 12 straight

12 goals in a row as Fremantle are streamrolling their way to a 12th straight win.

It doens’t matter how North Melbourne flood back the Dockers are just soo good by foot to keep hitting the man over the top.

Frederick drifts to the open side and gets a gimmie from 15m out.

FRE 17.5 (107) NM 4.6 (30)

Roos in full retreat

North Melbourne are just trying to flood back which means there’s no pressure on ball carreirs coming out of Fremantle’s defence.

Luke Ryan has a few bounces to Judd McVee who has a couple of his own and almost kicks his first goal in purple but it drifts left as Treacy takes a mark on the line.

Dockers past the 100 point barrier to make it a 71-point margin.

The Roos have not kicked a goal since just before the seven minute mark in the second quarter.

FRE 16.5 (101) NM 4.6 (30)

Murphy with more magic

The Dockers win the ball in defensive 50 which means they go end to end after Mason Cox takes a strong grab in the middle.

Shai Bolton gets it over to Murphy Reid who wheels around from 50m to slot his second.

“It doesn’t matter how you play them they’re just too good,” is the summary on comms, which tells you all you need to know.

Fringe Docker eyes WAFL record

While Fremantle are having fun in the Bunbury sun, winger Jeremy Sharp is having a picnic in the WAFL against Swan Districts.

The winger averaged a disposal a minute through 15 minutes of the first term and had already racked up 21 just minutes into the second term.

There’s a lot of handballs in there but he has helped Peel to six goal to none start.

The WAFL record is 54 from Hadyn Bunton in 1968.

Switta keeps the Dockers rolling

Alex Pearce with a huge spoil to deny Jack Darling.

The Dockers go end to end with Frederick popping it over the top to Switkowski.

He gets his third and the Roos are being cut to ribbons.

Roos a man down

Riley Hardeman is out for the game as North Melbourne’s day goes from bad to worse.

Fremantle win the clerance and Murphy Reid hits up Pat Voss but he sprays it off to the right.

Jobs not done says Longmuir

“As soon as we got the contest on our terms those opportunities came off it,” he says.

“We’ve just got to make sure we don’t put the cart before the horse we have to keep winning that contest.

“We came here to play 120 minutes and we’ve only played 60 so we’ve still got work ahead of us.”

Half Time FRE 13.4 (82) NM 4.4 (28)

North Melbourne were within six points after back to back goals early in that quarter.

Then Fremantle kicked eight straight on the back of dominant performacne from LUke Jackson.

He has 15 touches, 13 hit-outs five clearances and two goals while Hayden Young has 12 touches and three clearance and one major in a stellar return.

The Roos looked like roadkill for much of that quarter as they were just unable to stem the Fremantle tide that just rolled over them.

It’s their highest first half score since round 3 2015.

This could get ugly in the second half as Fremantle eye for a huge percentage boost.
