“It’s nice to just win, I feel like in past years we probably dropped those games and got a little bit shy around the footy,” he says.
“I think we let ourselves down around the footy with a work rate but we doubled our tackle count in the third quarter to get the game back on our terms.
“I hope Longmuir has a little bit of fun in his life tonight,” he jokes.
“If you look back over the last 18 months of footy, we have confidence playing in the wet.

“Pearce has been through hell and back in his body but he’s one of the best captains in the competition on and off the field.”

Collingwood had 61 inside 50s to 45 but they just could not score.
