AFL: Fremantle’s former mentor Ross Lyon stands between the Dockers and history as they chase a club record 10th straight win.

The Dockers, who have adopted the name Walyalup for Sir Doug Nicholls Round, will be without two of their stars after Caleb Serong joined Hayden Young on the sidelines with a calf strain.

However their still strong favourites at home under the Friday night lights against a Euro-Yroke (St Kilda) side that is still trying to figure out where they stand in 2026.

Mason Wood has a second

The Saints are happy to kick mark and wait for space to open up in front of them.

They pick their way through the Dockers’ defence before sending it inside 50 where McVee is too small to compete with Wood in the air, who clunks a strong mark.

Saints fighting back just as the Dockers threatened to pull away to now lead by seven.

Worner walks it through and gives away a free

Karl Worner deep in defence walks it over the line and gives away a free for insufficient intent.

He had time to get rid of it before crossing the line but the Saints were lurking.

It’s probably the right call and Phillipou gets one from the goal square.

Voss gives Freo the lead

End to end from the Dockers as they just work it through hands as Murphy Reid runs towards 50 where Voss outmuscles Cal Wilkie and kicks his second to give Walyalup the lead for the first time tonight.

Amiss has three!

Jack Silvagni has struggled to defend Amiss’ leads and gives away a chopping the arm free.

It was set up by Murphy Reid who had great vision to centre the ball out of the contest.

From 40m Amiss goes straight the middle and it’s back to one point.

Jye ‘Nev’ Amiss

Shai Bolton on the outside puts it out in front of Jye to lead into.

From just inside 50 on a wide-angle Amiss drills it through for his second of the night.

Phillipou gives Saints a break

Neil Erasmas tries to do an ambitious fend-off and Charlie Banfield pounces and goes out to Phillipou who nails a smart finish on the run.

Brings the margin out to 13-points.

Both defences udner pressure

Plenty of intercepts for both defensive lines with quick transitions through the middle but the final kicks have been poor.

Brad Hill nearly sharks one out the back but the ball tumbles away from him for a behind.

Saints hit back to lead at the first break.

Another centre clearance win, which they have won 4-2 this quarter.

Jack Sinclair lays out a perfect handball for Max Hall to run onto as he goes to the square, where Mason Wood takes a strong contested mark.

It sees Euro-Yroke take a six-point lead to make it 10 straight first-quarter wins for the Saints.

Not much in it, but Walyalup are struggling around stoppage particularly in the middle with Saints winning the count 5-2.

De Koning is edging the battle with Jackson while Max Hall as two goals and three clearances from just six touches.

Work for the Dockers to do.

Voss receives a ‘gift’

Dougal Howard is very harshly adjudged to be penalsied for holding the man.

The kick from Heath Chapman was poor and was going over the top but Voss instead has a set shot rom 10m out.

Howard can’t believe it, but Voss doesn’t care as he lets him know about it.

Jason Dunstall calls it a gift on comms saying you can’t penalise Howard for holding the space.

McVee cops friendly fire and Henry pounces

The former Docker brings out the boos at Optus after pouncing on the loose ball to snap his third.

Judd McVee had the ball covered but Oscar McDonald just backs into him to knock the ball out of his hands and spoil what would have been an easy intercept.

Smart finish by Henry.
