Woman dies on snorkelling trip in Whitsundays
A woman has died during a snorkelling trip in the Whitsundays.
Paramedics attended the scene just before midday and confirmed a woman had suffered a medical incident, a Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said.
The woman, aged in her 50s, is understood to have been snorkelling in the water when she came up for air and indicated she was having trouble breathing, the Courier Mail reported.
Crew on board the trip were understood to have tried to revive the woman.
The tragedy comes after newlywed Marina Morgan, 29, of Sydney, was killed last week in a golf buggy accident on Hamilton Island just days after tying the knot.
