Two About FACE choirs will showcase the Great Southern’s best young voices at the conclusion of the ever-popular About FACE July holidays children’s choir camp at the Free Reformed Church on Friday night.

The camp, which takes place annually during the July school holidays and involves 75 of the region’s budding singers aged from 9-14, began on Tuesday and will end on a high note on Friday night.

About FACE director Sue Findlay said 110 young singers from across the region auditioned this year for one of the coveted places in the program.

The four-day camp’s closing concert will feature both the About FACE Youth Choir and the About FACE Kids Choir.

The youth choir perform together throughout the year and will join their younger counterparts for Friday’s special annual performance.

Ms Findlay said the concert promised to be a night of fun for the whole family.

“The entertainment factor and sensational singing of the About FACE youth choir never fails to impress unsuspecting audiences,” she said.

“We add humour and movement to our performances which is always a hit.

“This talented group definitely has the wow factor.”

Songs featured on the night will include crowd favourites such as The Pink Panther, Run Like the River, Who Killed Poor Robin, Wannabe and Ten Thousand Miles.

Performances at Albany’s Free Reformed Church on the corner of North Road and Beaufort Road will begin from 7pm.
