Two dead after shots fired at home in suburban Perth

Two people are dead after a suspected shooting at a home in Western Australia.

Police responded to reports of a firearm being discharged at a property on Berkeley Crescent in the Perth suburb of Floreat about 4.30pm on Friday.

Two people were found dead at the scene.

Police said a third person was taken to hospital.

A large number of police resources remained at the scene on Friday night.

Police said the incident was contained and there was no ongoing threat to the public.
