Divinyls cancel Australian tour

Geraldton Guardian

Australian rock legends Divinyls have cancelled their upcoming national tour due to “unforeseen circumstances”.

The band, led by founding member, guitarist and co-songwriter Mark McEntee, were scheduled to play in Geraldton at the Wintersun Hotel on February 27.

A spokesperson from the Wintersun Hotel said all tickets will be refunded at the point of purchase.

The massive 18-date tour would have been the first time the band has performed since a one-off show in 2017.

McEntee had planned to hit the road with LA-based singer-songwriter Lauren Ruth Ward and original Blondie guitarist Frank Infante, taking Divinyls’ iconic songs around the nation once more and celebrating the life of lead singer Chrissy Amphlett, who died in 2013.
