Survey shows 99 per cent satisfied and would recommend QEII Centre services and programs to others
It’s a hub and a haven for many of Geraldton’s senior citizens, and a staggering 99 per cent of survey participants have given the QEII Centre the thumbs up.
That overwhelming number said they would be very likely to recommend services and programs the centre provides to other seniors.
The annual survey serves as a pulse check on the services, facilities and programming offered at the centre, with the public given three months to provide feedback.
The top activities, according to the survey, are balance gym, over 50s gentle gym, Seniors Action Group and pilates.
The centre’s newsletter was also praised as a tool to keep seniors up to date with news and program information. Usually conducted annually, the survey had been on hold since 2020 because of COVID.
City Mayor Shane Van Styn said the glowing results showed how integral the centre was to the community and how important it was to meet the needs of older residents.
“It’s a fantastic to see satisfaction with the centre is at (such) a whopping (level), especially since the survey has been on hiatus for the past few years,” he said.
“A massive congratulations to the staff and volunteers who are the heart and soul of the centre.”
