Camera IconThe Geraldton Primary School playground was taken over on Saturday by some of the Mid West’s best kept cars, on show and shining to raise funds for YouthCARE.The not-for-profit group provides chaplaincy, breakfast clubs and skills workshops to schools throughout the Mid West and Gascoyne. Everything from Speedway racers to tiny Japanese kei cars were on display, along with the usual Ford and Holden favourites. Most of the owners were members of the Batavia Coast Veteran and Classic Vehicle Club.YouthCARE was recently recognised in the WA Government’s Volunteer Employer Recognition Awards for their work in protecting the welfare of their employees, who had assisted in crisis management, and post-incident welfare checks.
